+Q. Is your staff well-trained?
We have a very diverse staff that must have experience before becoming employed with CareFocus Health. We also offer training to our staff free of charge and some of the training we offer is approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. The training we provide includes:
- Infection control
- Blood-borne pathogens
- Home safety
- Personal care
- Fall prevention
- Emergency procedures
- Safe techniques in personal hygiene
+Q. What can I expect from a home health aide?
Our home health aides work under the direction of a registered nurse and they do the following:
- Help patients move in and out of beds and wheelchairs
- Provide physical support to patients when performing daily tasks, such as bathing and dressing
- Assist patients with eating and drinking
- Measure and record food and liquid intake and report any changes to the RN
- Administer oral medications under the written direction of the registered Nurse to ensure the patient takes their medicine
- Administer treatment as specified by the Registered Nurse supervising the case
- Maintain records on patient care, progress, condition, or problems so that the findings can be reported to the supervising nurse or case manager
- Remind clients to perform regular exercises and scheduled treatments
+Q. What do your homemaking services entail?
Our homemakers will perform light housekeeping, help with laundry, accompany the patient on outings and appointments, and meal plan. Meals can also be prepared and served for the patient.
+Q. How long can I use respite care?
Respite care is there for when you need it. The purpose of this service is to give the primary caregiver a break. This break could be for vacation or to just run errands.
+Q. What kind of nursing services are provided?
All services we offer are provided under the supervision of a registered nurse. It starts with an individualized health care plan. This is created after a client assessment and the plan may need to be altered later.
Our licensed nurses take care of medication administration, injections, foot care, monitoring of medical status, providing services to clients with dementia and Alzheimer’s, monitor vital signs, and engage in complex ventilator care in the home.
Nursing services are provided 24/7.

We accept private pay, private insurance, major credit cards, medical assistance for waivered services and home care nursing, workers’ compensation, and long-term care insurance.
