Home Health Aides
Our home health aides are specially trained to handle various types of cases. Our home health aides do the following:
- Providing patients with help getting in and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs
- Providing patients with physical support when performing daily activities. Such activities include bathing, grooming, dressing, using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising
- Assisting patients with eating and drinking
- Measuring food portions and recording the patient’s food and liquid intake
- Administering treatment under the direction of the RN in charge of the case
- Maintaining patient records, such as patient condition progress, and problems. This can lead to adjustments to the care plan.
- Reminding clients to perform regularly scheduled treatments and exercises.
The pay sources for home health aides include private pay a minimum of two hours is required, medical assistance with waiver, long-term care insurance, and workers’ compensation insurance.
Homemaking Services
Our homemaking services assist patients with everyday household tasks that include:
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation and serving
- Transportation to and from outings and appointments
- Help with laundry and other chores around the house.
The pay sources for homemaking services are private pay and medical assistance under a waiver. Homemaking services help clients that are recovering from injuries, disabled, elderly, or ill. It’s a service that contributes to helping a person remain in their home at a time when being in a facility may be an option.
